In any event first aid should be part of the preparation be it a religious or political rally, sports event, children camp, military training, concerts or any gathering where a number of people are expected. Even if the event does not entail physical activity accidents my happen. People might collapse due to severe heat, exhaustion, hunger or thirst. There are hundred reason why medical preparedness should be the foremost concern of event organizers.

During the recent Procession of the Black Nazarene of Quiapo, or even in the past processions lives were lost due to heart attack caused by severe heat and exhaustion. Although we accepted that it must have been their time to die .. on the other hand we also believe that if they were given first aid by a stand by medical team some of them might have survive.

CHEER-DANCE PRESENTATION OF ICST DEPARTMENT

Our Post to Our Magazine Blog UnoMag2010 is all about the Preparation for the Intramurals. As you can see we have a photo of Lavender Griffins playing with the Red Dragon captured by Ms. Bernalyn Aimee Pablo. We also have a photo of the stage in preparation for the Intramurals 2010′s Mr. and Ms. Intramurals. It was designed by the student council together with the other school officers. And lastly we have a photo of the cheer dancers practicing their cheer for the cheer dance competition which is held last Jan.29, the winner for the Cheer-Dance competition was the Red Dragons or the Engineering Department.

For Our Department i have a photo of  The Lavender Griffins here. I captured it yesterday when i was watching the Cheer-Dance competition.

The ICST and ENGINEERING students who joined the soccer played gracefully. They really enjoy the game and they show a lot of effort  just to win that game. They also show their sportsmanship and patience to each other so that, they will not hurt each team.

This was the preparation for Intramural that I was captured at the main stage behind the lobby. They are preparing more design to make the intramural shine and the colorful curtain was based on the colors of every department. Of course the flags of every department join in designated design of the stage to make it more alive.

During Intramurals, we need to show our support to our teammates. These people in the picture are example of supportive teammates.They are going to the gym to watch the battle of their groupmates and to cheer up their department. Some are done cheering and motivating the players. Letran students in the picture are wearing the intramurals t-shirt for the year that contain the slogan: Nagkakaisang Lakas Tungo sa Maka- ARRIBAng Tagumpay. This picture was taken last Wednesday.

I’d talked to another graduating student of Letran, just to asked her some questions about her experience and her plans after graduation. Here are some of those questions:

1.) Why did you choose your major?

- When I transferred here in Letran, I wanted to make sure that what I’ve be taking up is the course of my choice. I chose IT (Information Technology), because I’m really interested in computers since high school. And as we all know, we are now living in a modern era where technology plays a major role because it can definitely improve our way of living.

2.) How do you feel that graduation is coming near?

- Ofcourse I feel excited. It is what every student is aiming for. Now that it’s just a matter of days away, I can’t help but to feel happy ’cause finally we’ll be able to enjoy the “fruits of our labor”.

3.) What are your plans after graduation?

- To be honest, initially, I really wanted to take a break, ’cause I felt I really deserved one since I’ve been working so hard and exerting a lot of effort since elementary. But now, my plans have changed, I will immediately start looking for a job and aim to be more competitive as I pursue my field of work.

4.) 3 to 4 years from now, where do you see yourself?

- I think by that time, I already have a stable job, and definitely, an independent career woman.

5.) What was your most significant accomplishment in your college years?

- Striving to work hard amidst conflicts and learning to manage my time. Well, those are the most significant learnings I’ve had in my college years.

The second past time, I just captured it before, that was the stolen shot from third floor L bldg, while they’re taking a break in their practice for, I think it’s for this coming intramural. But the other is still rehearsing for their dance number.

The third photo shows the uniform of female student in P.E. class. She is wearing white P.E. t-shirt, red jogging pants with letran seal, rubber shoes and Letran I.D. I was not able to take a picture of male students wearing their p.e uniform. So ill just describe it. Their P.E. uniform is white shirt with letran logo , blue shorts, rubber shoes and a Letran I.D

The fourth photo shows the uniform of  female nursing student. They wear a typical white nursing uniform, and white shoes with white stockings and letran I.D.
I wasnt able to take a picture of a male nursing student. Ill just describe it also. Their uniform is a white top, a white pants, a white shoes and an id.
